My dad has had a fascination with Labrador Retrievers for most of his life so I was really born into them. For my 12th birthday my parents purchased me a lovely black bitch we called her Jewels. We played a little in showing and obedience but then I went to back to more horse orientated sports. 

In 1995 I decided it was time to try showing Labradors again and between then and now we have had some wonderful dogs and met some wonderful people. I would like to thank the people who have made Ferranti Labradors the success it is today;

My sons Rhys & Connor and my parents Robert & Margaret– who entertain our dogs and puppies, help me at home and most importantly let me run away and show most weekends. 

My sister Andrea – who for many years was my showing partner. You have always supported me in so many ways and still do. I appreciate everything you have always done and continue to do for me. Ferranti Labradors would not be the success it is today if you had not been a part of it. Thank you. 

Michelle Briggs – my wonderful co handler and groomer extraordinaire. Michelle is always there when I need help regardless of what it is. I am so very proud to call WA’s best handler (probably Australia’s best handler) my co-handler. Thanks Michelle -you always make me strive to be a better handler. 

Shirley Briggs – my mentor. Shirley is my behind the scenes go to person, always my voice of reason and never worries about telling me how it is. Thank you for your words of wisdom. 

Pam Gregg (Catraz Kennels) – my friend, sister kennel and travel partner. A person who is always just a call away. Thank you for showing me there are still breeders out there who really care and truly love their dogs – you are a wonderful breeder and person.
